Honor V20 Launched With 48-Megapixel Rear Camera, Display Hole Selfie Camera Design, Kirin 980 SoC

The honor V20 has finally been announced in China. This smartphone comes with a punch-hole selfie camera design and backwards dual rear camera setup just like the H Nova 4. The main attractions of the phone include the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 rear sensor, HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, 25-megapixel’s selfie snapper, 4,000mAh battery and link turbo technology. Honor V20 will launch globally on January 22 with the confirmation of the first launch in Paris, Honor View 20.

Price, availability

The value of the Honor V20 starts at CNY 2,999 (approx. 30,400) for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option and goes up to CNY 3,499 (about 35,500 bucks) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. This charm is available in Blue, Red and Midnight Black Color Options. The pre-order of the smartphone has already begun on December 28, with T&V Mall, Jingdong, Suning dot com and more options. Honor also launched the Moschino Edition of CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 40,600) device. And this variant comes with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. This version comes only in the Red and Blue color options, and its first sale will be held on December 28.

Honor V20 has been seen playing a punch-hole selfie camera design with a sensor mounted on the top left edge of the smartphone. The cutout size is only 4.5mm, and is very non-invasive, the company claims. Back, the smartphone horizontally aligns a double-rear camera setup and a rear fingerprint sensor too. The back panel has been seen to sport Glossy Gradient Finish and Tapered Edges for better gripping. Notably, the smartphone will be launched globally on January 22 as HonorView 20. We can expect that the price and specifications of HonorView 20 will be similar to the Honor V20.

Specifications

Based on the Dual-SIM Honor V20 MagicUI 2.0.1, Android 9.0 pie runs on the out-of-the-box. It sports a 6.4-inch full-HD + (1080×2310 pixels) TFT LCD display with 19.5: 9 aspect ratios, 16.7 million colors, 91.82 percent screen-to-body ratio and 398ppi pixel density. It is powered by the latest 7nm Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC (2 Cortex-A76 Core 2.6GHz + 2 Cortex-A76 Core, 1.92GHz + 4 Coretex- A55 Core viewed at 1.8GHz) 6GB and 8GB Connected with RAM options Inbuilt storage is given on 128GB and 256GB options. It does not support MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

Coming in optics, Honor V20 has 48-megapixel sony IMX586 sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, 960fps slo-motion video recording support, autofocus, AI HDR and LED flash support. There is a secondary 3D Time off Flight (TOF) sensor to capture the depth of the image, and can be used for slimming the subjects in pictures as well as for creating features like creating 3D avatars of users. Front has 25 megapixel front sensor with f / 2.0 aperture and fixed focus support. The camera feature includes AI photo, night scene, portrait, fun AR, time-lapse photography, slow-motion and more. This Yoos ships even with a virtual assistant.
